Singapore's state investment firm Temasek has secured over ₹8,700 crore deal to acquire nearly 10% of Haldiram's snacks business. The purchase, valuing the company at ₹87,000 crore, comes after months of negotiations and it expands Temasek's focus on India's consumer sector. Haldiram's, known for its snacks like bhujia, controls nearly 13% of India's ₹54,000 crore savoury snack market.
