An ancient Buddhist temple in Chinese city Shanghai slopes at a 7.1-degree angle, almost twice the 3.99 degree tilt of the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. The Huzhu Pagoda tilts because it was constructed on two different types of surfaces. An official said the pagoda is examined twice every year, and the tilting is presently under control.
