A temple's authorities in Tamil Nadu's Thiruporur refused to return an iPhone to a devotee after it fell into the donation box or 'hundi', saying it was "property of the deity". Devotee claimed his phone accidentally fell into 'hundi' while pulling out currency notes from his pocket. The temple, however, offered him the SIM card and access to download data.
