On Wednesday, the Indian stock market recovered from sharp opening lows by closing at a day’s high. BSE Sensex settled 278 points higher, while Nifty 50 ended above the 21,800 mark. Top Nifty contributors, SBI and Reliance lifted the index by 52 points, while Nifty Bank swelled over 400 points. Sector-wise, PSU Bank and Oil & Gas indices surged 3%.
