The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has curtailed the tenure of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) Special Director Satyabrata Kumar, according to an official order made public on Monday. He led several high-profile money laundering probes, including those against Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya and Mehul Choksi. Kumar is a 2004-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes).
