Terrorists used madrasas as shelters: Minister as Bengal orders closure of 252 madrasas

West Bengal minister Dilip Ghosh claimed that the terrorists entering the state from Bangladesh had used madrasas as shelters. He stated that state government will not allow madrasas to operate without valid government approval. Ghosh's remarks came after the state government issued closure notices to 252 madrasas as part of a review of Islamic educational institutions in the state.
