Tesla Model 3 and Model Y can now power homes during blackouts

Tesla is expanding its Powershare Home Backup system to eligible Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in the US and Puerto Rico, allowing their batteries to supply electricity during outages. Compatible setups can potentially keep homes powered for up to two days or more, though availability depends on vehicle hardware, Powerwall compatibility and household energy use.
