Elon Musk Co-founded all-electric vehicle maker Tesla's Model S has become the best-selling luxury sedan in the US with 9,156 units being sold in the country in the third quarter. The sedan's sales surged 59% from last year. Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series were the second and third most sold sedans in the US during the period.
