Elon Musk-led Tesla's Senior Vice President of Engineering Doug Field has left the electric car-making company. Earlier, the company had said Field was on a leave to spend time with his family. Field, who previously worked at Apple and Segway, joined Tesla in 2013 to develop the company's next-generation electric vehicles. Tesla is yet to announce a successor.
