The US NHTSA has reached out to Tesla following the news of its planned steering wheel for the 'Plaid' version of its Tesla Model S. The NHTSA said that on the first glance it "cannot determine if the steering wheel meets Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards". Tesla claims that the model is the world's fastest-accelerating electric car in production.
