The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has backed the continuation of the five-day Tests. In a statement, MCC said that while "they can see some benefits of the four-day Test cricket", the MCC Cricket Committee and MCC World Cricket committee believe that five-day Test "should continue". The International Cricket Council is set to discuss introducing four-day Tests in World Test Championship.
