Thai Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Varnavadi will stand as a candidate for PM in the March elections, becoming the first member of the royal family to run for office. The 67-year-old relinquished her royal title in 1972 after marrying an American but is still considered part of the royal family. She has been nominated by the Thai Raksa Chart party.
