Thailand's new government has proposed a ban on recreational use of cannabis, 18 months after the country became the first in Asia to decriminalise it. Under the proposed bill, anyone who smokes cannabis for recreation will face up to 60,000 baht fine. Those selling cannabis for recreational purposes face up to one year jail or 100,000 baht fine, or both.
