Thailand Queen Suthida becomes 1st reigning queen in history to fly a fighter jet solo

Thailand's Queen Suthida completed a historic solo flight in a Gripen fighter jet on Thursday, becoming the country's first female Gripen pilot and reportedly also the world's first reigning queen to do so. The 48-year-old queen, an experienced pilot, underwent an intensive four-month military training programme before the feat. The king honoured her with Gripen Order Golden Patch upon landing.
