Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has backed the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) exercise, saying, "revisions every few years are essential", Times Now reported. He added that it is in interest of Election Commission's own credibility that voters have no doubt. Notably, I.N.D.I.A bloc that includes the Congress party has opposed the SIR being conducted in Bihar ahead of the Assembly elections.
