The struggle of Amritsar's Kos Minars

The Kos Minars, milestone markers built during the Mughal era and later preserved and developed under Maharaja Ranjit Singh, have withstood the pressures of time and rapid urbanisation in Amritsar. Two such structures still stand in the middle of the Grand Trunk Road, also known as Sher Shah Suri Road, remaining significant despite the constant flow of traffic around them.
