The disaster of Titanic has since been a source of fascination since 15 April 1912, when it sank after hitting an iceberg on its maiden journey. The wreck of the Titanic has so far revealed no human remains because the ship is below the calcium carbonate compensation depth; once the critters eat their flesh, the bones dissolve.
