In an open letter to US Senator Mike Lee, filmmaker James Cameron argues that Netflix's proposed acquisition of Warner Bros could lead to a "disastrous" loss of jobs and negatively affect the theatrical landscape. He wrote, "Theaters will close. Fewer films will be made. Service providers such as VFX companies will go out of business. The job losses will spiral."
