A US judge has denied Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes' plea to remain free on bail during her appeal against conviction over fraud charges. Holmes was given an 11 years and three-month prison sentence last year. US District Judge Edward Davila said that even if Holmes wins her appeal, it is unlikely to lead to a reversal or a new trial.
