Replying to a query on Maratha community's agitation for reservation in Maharashtra, Road Minister Nitin Gadkari said, "Let us assume the reservation is given. But there are no jobs." Adding that "backwardness" is becoming a "political interest", Gadkari said, "In Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, Brahmins are strong. They dominate politics. They say they are backward."
