The government has clarified it has no plans to increase the prices of petrol and diesel a day after the state assembly elections. This comes amid reports of panic buying after rumours of price hike emerged online. Urging people to not rely on rumours, Petroleum Ministry's Joint Secretary Sujata Sharma said, "There's no proposal to increase petrol and diesel prices."
