Kuljinder Dhillon, an ex-Khalistani, said that young boys like him were easily convinced when they were told that Sikhs were being targeted unfairly. He said, "In the 1980s, there was no internet to check facts." He said that they followed leaders blindly, thinking they were fighting for a good cause but the reality was very different than what was told to them.
