Zoho CEO Sridhar Vembu took to X to criticise Freshworks, without taking its name, after the company announced plans to lay off 660 employees. "A company that has $1 billion cash...and is laying off 12-13% of its workforce, shouldn't expect any loyalty from its employees," he wrote. "I can understand unfortunate reality of layoffs...[but] this is naked greed," he added.
