Two unidentified men on Monday returned 99 sovereigns of gold and ₹13,000 to a family in Karnataka's Mangaluru, days after stealing it from them. The thieves threw a packet containing the stolen items into the house along with a note advising the owners to deposit the gold in the bank. The note further said the thieves regretted committing the crime.
