TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer on Wednesday criticised 'maligning attacks' against the company by Facebook and called Facebook-owned Instagram's new short video feature 'Reels' another copycat product after 'Lasso' failed. "To those who wish to launch competitive products, we say bring it on," said TikTok's CEO. "We've received more scrutiny than others due to the company's Chinese origins," he added.
