Three friends drowned in backwaters of Jadhavwadi dam in Pune's Maval. The group of six had travelled from Bhosari for a picnic. Police said four friends were taking a selfie in shallow water when one slipped into a deeper area, pulling the others with him. One was rescued, but three died. Rescue teams, NDRF and local police later recovered bodies.
