Three men charged in $100 million New Jersey deli fraud scheme

Three men were charged over a scheme involving a company, Hometown International, whose market value swelled to $100 million despite owning only a small-town New Jersey deli with minimal sales. Prosecutors said from 2014- September 2022, Peter Coker Sr, his son Peter Coker Jr, and James Patten, orchestrated a market manipulation scheme. They were charged with securities fraud and conspiracy.
