TikTok and YouTube have disabled about 4.7 million accounts belonging to users under 16 in Indonesia following new child safety rules. TikTok accounted for roughly 4.1 million of the suspended accounts. The removals come after Jakarta introduced tougher regulations in March requiring high-risk platforms to block underage users from accessing their services.
