TikTok bans ads amplifying body shaming, weight stigma

TikTok on Wednesday introduced new policies banning ads that promote fasting apps and weight loss supplements. As part of its policy to create an inclusive and body-positive environment, it increased restrictions on ads that promote a harmful or negative body image. It will also partner with the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) to connect users looking for support and resources.
