Bytedance-owned lip-syncing video platform TikTok has removed about 60 lakh video clips that violated its content protocol in India. The government had issued a notice to TikTok last week along with a set of questions, warning that a failure to answer and justify the queries could lead to a ban. The platform was accused of facilitating "anti-national" and obscene content.
