TikTok's Chinese parent company ByteDance has begun hiring for its artificial intelligence-driven (AI) drug discovery team across the US and China. This is the tech conglomerate's first foray into the health industry as it hires people to "conduct...research in drug discovery and manufacturing powered by AI algorithms." Chinese firms Tencent and Huawei have also entered the health industry.
