ByteDance on Monday informed its local team that it is shutting down its edtech business in India, reported TechCrunch. The decision comes after ByteDance, which also owns TikTok, reportedly considered migrating India team to work with European edtech team. The edtech division employed over three dozen people in India and most of them are being let go, the report said.
