A viral 2024 TikTok clip showing a strange fish pumped from a borewell near the India - Nepal border led biologists to an incredible find: Gangaichthys indonepalicus. Discovered by the Thackeray Wildlife Foundation, CAS, and ZSI, this blind earthworm eel represents an entirely new genus living in Bihar's deep groundwater aquifers.
