Online dating app Tinder is bypassing Google Play in-app billing on Android to avoid paying a 30% cut to Google. The platform has added a new default payment process, requiring users to enter their credit card details straight into Tinder's app. Tinder-parent Match declined to answer questions about whether the company was also investigating bypassing Apple's App Store, Bloomberg revealed.
