British luxury steamship RMS Titanic's designer Thomas Andrews went down with the ship after trying to save the lives of the passengers as it sank. Upon realising that the vessel would sink after it hit an iceberg, Andrews went from cabin to cabin to urge the passengers to get on the lifeboats. Andrews was born on February 7, 1873.
