Veteran actor Bhim Vakani, father of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Disha Vakani, died in Ahmedabad on Tuesday (April 7). A noted Gujarati personality, he appeared in the sitcom as Mavji Chheda, a close friend of Champaklal Gada, and featured in films Lagaan and Swades. Producer Asit Kumar Modi confirmed the news. His cremation will take place in Ahmedabad.
