N Palanisamy, an auto-rickshaw driver earning ₹250 daily from Tamil Nadu, spends most of his money in planting trees. He invested in cages, bamboo supports, watering, and years of care, as he felt planting saplings alone wasn't enough. He and 25 other volunteers have distributed over 1 lakh free saplings. Around 50,000 palm seeds have been sown near water bodies.
