Tamil Nadu government issued a circular banning political activities, including visits and birthday celebrations of leaders in schools. State minister Raj Mohan said only elected representatives who are attending official government programmes will be permitted in schools. This comes after the government faced backlash over industries minister S Keerthana’s surprise visit to a government school.
