TN bus driver killed as heavy rain triggers landslide in Nilgiris

Heavy rain in Tamil Nadu has disrupted transport, flooded low-lying areas and triggered landslides. In Nilgiris, bus driver was killed and conductor seriously injured after mudslide and uprooted trees hit their bus travelling from Coonoor to Mettupalayam. Minor landslips were reported at two places in Kodaikanal. Rainfall alerts have been issued for Coimbatore, Nilgiris for Saturday and Sunday.
