A Tamil Nadu court granted bail to suspended Ambasamudram ASP Balveer Singh, IPS, and 14 other police personnel accused of custodial torture. The Tirunelveli Judicial Magistrate Court 1 allowed them to go on bail after accepting bonds under Section 88 of CrPC. The 15 officers were accused of plucking teeth using pliers and crushing the testicles of suspects.
