Tamil Nadu recorded the biggest single-day jump of 1,989 coronavirus cases in last 24 hours, taking total number of cases there to 42,687, said the state's Health and Family Welfare Department on Saturday. Tamil Nadu also recorded 30 COVID-19 deaths on Saturday, taking the state's death toll to 397. Number of COVID-19 patients discharged in Tamil Nadu climbed to 23,409.
