Tobacco use may hike heart disease deaths by 40% in 5 years: Study

The consumption of tobacco and marijuana is expected to increase heart disease deaths by over 40% in the next five years, according to twin studies. The research showed that while tobacco use is expected to raise coronary heart disease death by 40%, people with cannabis use disorder are 50% more likely to experience cardiogenic shock, acute myocardial infarction.
