BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi criticised the Opposition over its letter to Chief Justice of India on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He said that the tone and language used in the letter by Congress and other parties "mirror the arrogance witnessed during Emergency era". Trivedi also claimed that SIR exercise is lawful and has been upheld by courts.
