The family of Kerala woman who was starved to death by her in-laws has revealed they took a loan of ₹3 lakh for dowry. The loan was due to be sanctioned this month and the family had decided to give the amount in person, Tushara's aunt revealed. She added the amount included ₹1 lakh extra to compensate for the delay.
