Around 26 major Indian e-commerce platforms submitted self-declaration letters to the government, confirming compliance with the dark-pattern guidelines. Zepto, Zomato, Myntra, Netmeds, Meesho, Jiomart, Swiggy and Flipkart are among these e-commerce platforms. Dark patterns included false urgency, basket sneaking, confirm shaming, subscription traps, interface interference and disguised ads.
