Torrent group, one of Gujarat's biggest corporate houses and having interests in power and pharmaceuticals, took a step towards distributing its businesses between brothers Sudhir and Samir Mehta. Elder brother Sudhir is stepping down as chairman of Torrent Pharma to focus on the power business, while the younger sibling, Samir, will now head the Rs 4,200 crore pharma business.
