Union Minister Piyush Goyal said India needs a concerted strategy to attract high-spending tourists and called for more investment in tourism and hospitality sector. Tourism offers highest employment potential per dollar invested and represents one of the biggest opportunities for India’s next growth wave, he added. The government is working on plans to select the best 50 destinations, he said.
