Travelling on a long-distance train is 30 times more expensive than taking flights in Europe, according to a study by Greenpeace. Ticket prices of flights and trains were compared on 112 European routes on different dates for the study. It added that UK, Spain, France, Italy and Belgium are the countries with the priciest train tickets when compared to flights.
