Kerala High Court allowed a transgender couple to use a gender neutral term 'parent' instead of mother and father in their child's birth certificate. Zahhad (trans man) and Ziya Paval (trans woman) had filed a plea to protect their child from confusion or any discrimination after they were listed as mother and father, respectively, in their child's birth certificate.
