Traveller Ibn Battuta was born on this day

Muslim scholar and traveller Muhammad Ibn Battuta was born on February 25, 1304, in Morocco. Recognised as one of the greatest travellers of all time, he started travelling at the age of 20 and covered around 1.2 lakh kilometres in 29 years. He also reached India after crossing the Himalayas in 1334. Battuta's travel chronicles are published in the Rihlah.
